Mark works in oil, acrylic, watercolour and mixed media on a variety of surfaces, including canvas, wood panel and paper. Materials and techniques for individual works are listed on the artwork page.

Yes. Original paintings sold through Wild Expressions Studio are one-of-a-kind works created by Mark Thompson. When an original is sold, it is no longer available for purchase as an original, although selected works may also be available as fine art prints.

Expressive Abstract Realism is the term Mark uses to describe much of his work. It combines recognizable subjects and places with expressive colour, movement, texture and abstraction. Some pieces lean more heavily toward realism while others are more abstract, but the focus is on capturing the feeling of the subject rather than reproducing every detail.

Wild Expressions Studio offers original paintings, fine art prints of selected works and a small selection of handcrafted products. Availability varies, so the Shop is the best place to see what is currently available.

Limited edition prints are hand-signed by Mark Thompson. Open edition prints are unsigned unless otherwise stated in the individual product listing.
