Life Cycle
This painting represents the three stages of life, shown through three trees at different points in their journey. The deeply rooted old tree looks back across a patterned field representing the memories, experiences and accomplishments gathered over a lifetime. Throughout the painting, the black lines remain connected, representing the connections that carry through every stage of life. Above it all, genuine 24K gold leaf represents the afterlife, bringing the journey beyond the landscape and into something greater.

Puddle Duck Watercolor Print
Puddle Duck was originally hand-painted in watercolour. Let's be honest, who doesn't like ducks? Painted with soft washes and loose details, this little duck has plenty of character while keeping the light, spontaneous feel of watercolour. It's a simple, cheerful piece inspired by the quieter side of rural life and the personality found in everyday subjects.

Release 1 | Abstract Acrylic
Release 1 is about those moments when everything starts to feel like too much. Each balloon represents a worry, responsibility or problem we carry around with us, sometimes without realizing how much weight we've given it. This piece is about taking a breath and letting some of that go. Not everything needs to be carried forever, and sometimes the hardest part is simply deciding to release it.

Seascape at Dusk
Seascape at Dusk captures that brief moment when daylight is disappearing and the colours of the sky begin to settle over the water. Painted entirely with a palette knife, the heavy texture gives the water, sky and shoreline a sense of movement and depth. The thick layers of acrylic are an important part of the piece, changing how the surface catches the light depending on where it's viewed from.

City of Ice and Snow
City of Ice and Snow imagines a city almost swallowed by winter. Layers of white and blue move across the surface while the city peeks through beneath them, creating the feeling of a place caught between being hidden and revealed. The heavy texture and palette knife work give the snow and ice a physical presence, while glimpses of the city remain underneath. For me, the piece is about endurance. Even when everything feels buried or frozen in place, something remains beneath the surface.

Axial Motion
Axial Motion explores movement, balance and the feeling of everything turning around a central point. The shapes and colours pull in different directions, but remain connected through the centre of the piece. I wanted it to feel like it was still moving even when standing still, with each part influencing the next and creating a sense of constant motion.

Flight
Flight is a smaller companion piece to Release 1, continuing the idea of letting go of the things we carry. The balloons represent worries, responsibilities and problems that can build up over time. In this piece, they've been released and are drifting away. It's about that feeling of finally letting something go and allowing yourself to move forward a little lighter.

Amelia Eggheart
Amelia Eggheart is my chicken-inspired take on aviation legend Amelia Earhart. With her flight gear on and a determined look, she's ready for an adventure of her own. This piece is part of the more playful side of my work, where chickens take on personalities, occupations and characters that are probably far more ambitious than the chickens wandering around my own yard.

Calm in the Mountains
Calm in the Mountains was inspired by the landscape around Canmore, Alberta. There's something about being surrounded by the mountains that makes everything else seem a little quieter. I wanted this piece to capture that feeling, the stillness of the landscape, the scale of the mountains and that sense of calm you get when you stop for a moment and simply take it all in.

Mystic Mountains
Mystic Mountains captures the mountains with a little more mystery and atmosphere. Rather than focusing on a specific place, I wanted the landscape to feel almost dreamlike, with the mountains disappearing into the distance and leaving you wondering what lies beyond them. It's one of those pieces that came more from a feeling than a particular scene, using the landscape to create a sense of quiet, distance and curiosity.

Sailing for the Dawn
Sailing for the Dawn captures a sailboat moving across the water as the first light begins to break across the horizon. I wanted the painting to have a sense of movement, but also that quiet feeling that comes with being on the water early in the morning. Built with bold colour and texture, the piece is about moving toward the light and whatever might be waiting beyond the horizon.

Chatter on the Wire
Chatter on the Wire captures a group of birds gathered together, looking as though they're in the middle of a conversation. It's one of those everyday scenes that's easy to pass by without giving it much thought. I liked the idea of giving a little personality to that moment, imagining what all the chatter might be about while they sit together watching the world go by.
